The present invention relates to a method for detecting a target gene or mutation thereof, and, more specifically, relates to a method for detecting a target gene or mutation thereof, the method comprising the steps of: (a) carrying out a polymerase chain reaction; (b) carrying out a ligase reaction on the target gene amplification product of step (a), by using a first probe and a second probe that respectively bind in a complementary fashion on the 5' region and the 3' region of the target gene; (c) adding a mixed solution of a nicking enzyme amplification primer, a nicking enzyme and a polymerase to the reaction product of step (b), and carrying out a nicking enzyme amplification reaction (nicking amplification); and (d) checking for any production of amplified DNA fragments in the reaction product of step (c). According to the present invention, the method for detecting a target gene or mutation thereof is useful not only in the prevention and early diagnosis of diseases having a genetic cause and in the development and the prescription of individually tailored medical products for same but also as the platform of a biosensor for on-the-spot diagnosis of same, since the method not only involves outstanding sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility but also allows rapid and accurate simultaneous analysis for various mutations in a target gene in a plurality of samples, because any desired short-length DNA segment is synthesised in volume and subjected to mass analysis. |
