The honing machine (1) comprises a spindle unit (13) that is provided with a stroke drive for driving a honing tool to an inner hone of a workpiece (7). A clamping unit (5) is provided with a rotary drive (9,11) for the workpiece. An outer hone device (31) is displaced along axial direction relative to the workpiece and is located on a carriage (33). The honing tool is connected with a spindle (17) of the spindle unit.
