A time division scheduling apparatus and a method in a time division duplex system are provided to reduce interference between adjacent cells by scheduling and time-dividing time slots of uplink and downlink according to a channel condition. A transmission end estimates a channel for transmitting a signal to a reception end by using a signal received from the reception end(701). The transmission end determines a channel occupancy rate to transmit the signal to the reception end by using the estimated channel information(703). The transmission end determines a channel occupancy time for transmitting the signal according to the channel occupancy rate(705).
