PURPOSE: A system and a method for monitoring buried facilities using a wireless broadband internet network are provided to monitor a state of the buried facility in real time by transferring information sensed from a sensor which is installed in the buried facility to the system by using the wireless broadband internet network. CONSTITUTION: A system for monitoring buried facilities using a wireless broadband internet network comprises a sensing unit (200) transmitting analysis information generated by processing the information sensing a state of fluid or gas transferred through the buried facility and is attached to the buried facility; and a monitoring system (300) connected through the sensing unit and the wireless broadband internet network monitoring a state of the buried facility by receiving the analysis information.
