PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow determination of a chromatic characteristic of an optical accessory attached to a front of a light-emitting part with reduction in dimensions of an illumination device.SOLUTION: The illumination device that can attach the optical accessory changing the chromatic characteristic of transmitting light to the front of the light-emitting part is configured to comprise: a light source that is placed on a lower side of the light-emitting part; light receiving means that is placed so as to be parallel with the light source in a direction substantially orthogonal to an optical axis of irradiation light of the light-emitting part; and a fixture part that is provided on the lower side of the light-emitting part, for fixing the optical accessory to the illumination device. The light receiving means receives light emitted from the light source that is guided by a light guide part and transmits the optical accessory, and the light source and the light receiving means are placed on an irradiation surface side of the light-emitting part with respect to the fixture part.
