PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery type fuel cell system having durability where a fuel cell and water electrolysis are combined with each other.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system includes: a fuel generation member 1 that is capable of emitting a fuel through chemical reaction and performing reproduction through reverse reaction of fuel generation reaction; a power generation/electrolysis part (fuel cell part 2, for instance) having a power generation function of performing power generation using the fuel supplied from the fuel generation member 1, and for performing electrolysis on reverse reaction product supplied from the fuel generation member 1 at the time of the reproduction by the fuel generation member; and a temporary connection circuit 9 that, when a state where electric power is supplied to the power generation/electrolysis part is switched to a state where no electric power is supplied to the power generation/electrolysis part, temporarily establishes electric connection between a part functioning as a positive electrode at the time of the electrolysis and a part functioning as a negative electrode at the time of the electrolysis and then cancels the connection. |
