PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus which reduces power consumed in a period in which operation is not required.SOLUTION: A radio communication apparatus comprises: a first communication unit for performing radio communication based on a first standard; a second communication unit for performing radio communication based a second standard; and a power supply control unit which controls supply of power for operation of the second communication unit. The first standard is a standard for near-field radio communication and the second standard is a standard to allow for longer-distance communication than the communication based on the first standard, and the power supply control unit is controlled on the basis of the communication result of the first communication unit.
