PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste material incinerator and a waste material incinerating method enabling low air ratio combustion.SOLUTION: A fire grate type waste material incinerator has a main combustion chamber 11 for burning a waste material dropped and charged from a waste material charging opening 13, a secondary combustion chamber 12 for burning unburned gas after combustion in the main combustion chamber 11 is connected to the outlet side of the main combustion chamber 11, a driving fire grate 11a, a combustion fire grate 11b, and a rear combustion fire grate 11c are arranged in series in the lower part of the main combustion chamber in a moving direction of the waste material in the main combustion chamber, and are primarily air supply means 21 for supplying primary air to the respective lower parts of the combustion fire grate 11b, and the rear combustion fire grate 11c are arranged, the waste material incinerator has a circulation waste gas supply means 31 for supplying a part of the exhaust gas of the incinerator to a lower part of the drying fire grate 11a as gas for drying the waste material. |
