PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesion type polarizing plate hardly causing light escaping of an image display device even if use environment is changed, and to provide the image display device using the same.SOLUTION: In the adhesion type polarizing plate 10 formed by laminating a transparent protective film 2 at least on one surface of a polarizer 1 and laminating an adhesive layer 5 on a surface of a side of the transparent protective film where the polarizer 1 is not laminated, the adhesive layer is formed of an adhesive comprising an acryl based polymer containing alkyl (meta) acylate and (meta) acrylate having aromatic ring structure as monomer units. If photoelastic coefficient of the transparent protective film is expressed by X m/N and content of a (meta) acrylate monomer unit having the aromatic ring structure in the acryl based polymer is expressed by Y%, X and Y satisfy prescribed relation, thereby the problem is solved. |
