PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand mold casting device with an atmosphere open type gate riser which reduces a cooling rate of a gate riser to prevent generation of a casting flaw, and to provide a sand mold casting method using the same and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A sand mold casting device 10 with an atmosphere open type gate riser includes: a lower die 16 formed of foundry sand and including a cavity 18 corresponding to a cast product; an upper die 14 formed of foundry sand and including a gate riser 24 opened to the atmosphere and continued to the cavity 18; and a recess 26 provided around the gate riser 24 in the upper die 14 to secure an air layer around the gate riser 24.
