PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape measuring instrument capable of easily correcting the direction of a scanning direction in line laser light.SOLUTION: A distance sensor 15 for measuring a distance to a bolt head of a reference bolt attached to a reference bolt hole of a work-piece is supported rotatably between a first scanning position P1 for emitting line laser light L in a first scanning direction to be parallel with an X-axial direction and a second scanning position P2 for emitting the line laser light L in a second scanning direction to be parallel with a Y-axial direction; a cross section shape corresponding to a part of a correcting surface 31 to be measured subjected to the line laser light L is calculated on the basis of a measurement distance to the correcting surface 31 to be measured measured by the distance sensor 15 positioned at the scanning positions P1, P2; and the direction of the scanning direction in the line laser light L is corrected by rotating the distance sensor 15 in accordance with the cross section shape. |
