摘要 <p>Provided is an ECU (10) that serves as a control device for a hybrid vehicle (1) provided with an engine (2), a first motor generator (3) and a second motor generator (4) that can produce motive power and regenerate electrical power, and a battery (6) that provides and receives electrical power to and from the first motor generator (3) and the second motor generator (4). The ECU has a plurality of forecasting computation formulae (f1, f2, f3) for forecasting the amount of electrical power that will be regenerated by the first motor generator (3) (or the second motor generator (4)) when an own vehicle travels on a downhill road on the planned route of travel, and one of the plurality of forecasting computation formulae (f1, f2, f3) is selected in accordance with the gradient of the downhill road and used to forecast the amount of electrical power that will be regenerated. This configuration makes it possible to forecast the amount of electrical power that will be regenerated using a method suited to the gradient of a downhill road, allowing the amount of power that will be regenerated when travelling on a downhill road to be accurately forecasted.</p>
