PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light diffuser characteristics, in which it is required to suppress back scattering of entering light, make the light scatter remarkably in its advancing direction, and improve contrast property and wide viewing angle characteristics.SOLUTION: Multiple scattering of light occurs and a high forward scattering intensity is obtained by making a nano diamond compound material covered by a surface modification layer similar to a dispersion medium in order to realize a translucent thin film light diffuser. The amount of the surface modification layer of the nano diamond compound material is 0.001 to 1 nm in thickness. Furthermore, the nano diamond compound material contains nano diamond compound particles with a maximum size of 25 to 500 nm in an amount of 10 to 60 vol.%. Thus, even in a case of nano diamond particles in an amount of 0.5 to 30 wt.% and a thin layer of 0.2 to 200 μm in thickness, qualities of brightness, contrast, and resolution are improved, and furthermore the surface scratch resistance is improved by uniform dispersion of the nano diamond compound material. |
