PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more reliable battery system for a vehicle.SOLUTION: The battery system for a vehicle includes: integrated circuits 3A-3N provided individually corresponding to respective cell groups GB1-GBN of a battery part 9, in which terminal voltage of respective battery cells BC1-BC4 in the corresponding cell groups GB1-GBN is inputted and the inputted terminal voltage is measured; and signal transmission paths 52, 54 which connect between the integrated circuits 3A-3N or between the integrated circuits 3A-3N and an external circuit 20. The respective integrated circuits 3A-3N provided for each cell group GB1-GBN include: a selection circuit which selects the terminal voltage of the battery cell which is to be measured from the inputted terminal voltage; an A/D converter which performs analog-digital conversion of the terminal voltage selected by the selection circuit; an abnormality diagnostic circuit which diagnoses an abnormality state in the integrated circuit; and a communication circuit which transmits the analog-digital converted terminal voltage by the A/D converter and a diagnostic result obtained by the abnormality diagnostic circuit through the signal transmission paths 52, 54.
