PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a phosphor that has high luminance, and that has a high temperature characteristic and long-term reliability; and a white light-emitting device using the phosphor.SOLUTION: A phosphor includes: an oxynitride phosphor (A) in which the peak wavelength is 535 to 540 nm and the fluorescent intensity is 240 to 260%; and a nitride phosphor (B) in which the peak wavelength is 625 to 635 nm. The mix proportion of the phosphor (A) is 74 to 89 pts.mass, and the mix proportion of the phosphor (B) is 11 to 19 pts.mass.
