PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that achieves proper banding suppression.SOLUTION: An object region is detected from target image data, characteristics information, which is information related to possibility that banding occurs in an printed image in the object region, is determined, a parameter is determined that changes according to the characteristics information as a parameter used in halftone processing for determining a formation state of dots for each printing pixel, and the halftone processing is executed by using a determined parameter. |
