APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DE-WATERING OF SLURRY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve techniques for de-watering of slurry, especially caused thereby dredge mud.SOLUTION: A first separator includes: a flexible sieve mat alternately connected to a main support frame part and a movable support frame section capable of violently vibrating by the movable support frame section; and a collector for collecting primary treated slurry passing through the flexible sieve mat. Water from solids separated from slurry is removed by supplying to a vessel. The vessel comprises: a first section; a second section; a filter screen for separating the first section and the second section; and a pump assembly for removing water from the second section to reduce the pressure in the second section compared to the first section.
