PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for selecting a communication apparatus for receiving an incoming call from the outside from among a plurality of communication apparatuses in accordance with a status of each communication apparatus.SOLUTION: A URI (SIP URI) of a selected MFP is registered in a SIP server 133 so as to perform substitution reception of facsimile data with MFPs 101 to 104 (substituted devices) in a power saving mode as a transmission destination among facsimile data transmitted from a FAX 105 and the MFPs 101 to 104 on an IP communication network 112 by transferring these facsimile data to one MFP (substitution device) selected from among the MFPs 101 to 104 not in the power saving mode. |
