PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve drainage performance and groove bottom crack-proof performance with a proper balance.SOLUTION: In a motorcycle tire, a lateral groove which inclines to a tire circumferential direction is installed in a tread part 2. The tread part 2 has a pair of shoulder areas Sh each of which is an area from a tread end Te to one fourth of a tread half width BW which is a distance along a tread surface 2a between a tire equator C and the tread end Te. The lateral groove has: a first lateral groove 8 of which one end 8a locates at one side of a shoulder area Sh of the tread 2 and the other end 8b locates at the other side shoulder area Sh; and a second lateral groove 9 which extends from an intersection 10 which intersects the first lateral groove 8. A tie bar 12 that elevates a groove bottom is provided in a groove intersection area 11 of the first lateral groove 8 which contains the intersection 10 and the second lateral groove 9. |
