The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a peptide having affinity for silicon nitride; the polynucleotide encoding said peptide; an expression vector for the peptide having affinity for silicon nitride; an expression vector for a peptide fusion protein that includes the peptide having affinity for silicon nitride and a target protein; a transformant obtained by introducing the expression vector into a host cell; the peptide fusion protein obtained from the transformant; a silicon nitride substrate to which peptides having affinity for silicon nitride have been bonded; a method for affixing target proteins to a silicon nitride substrate; a composition for affixing target proteins to a silicon nitride substrate, said composition comprising the peptides having affinity for silicon nitride; and a linker for affixing target proteins to a silicon nitride substrate, said linker comprising the peptides having affinity for silicon nitride. The invention involves a peptide having affinity for silicon nitride, said peptide containing (1-1) a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence represented by one of SEQ ID NO: 1, 2 and 23, (1-2) a peptide that has affinity for silicon nitride and comprises an amino acid sequence obtained by deleting, substituting and/or adding one or more amino acids in one of the amino acid sequences indicated in (1-1), or a fragment of one of said peptides.
