<p>A side member structure of a vehicle frame, comprising: an upward-facing front side member having a bottom part and two side parts extending out from both side edges of the bottom part, and also having a U-shaped cross section opening upward; a sideways-facing rear side member having a cross-section opening to the outer side of the vehicle; and a reinforcement disposed spanning between the front side member and the rear side member and coupled to these members. The reinforcement has a bottom part and at least one side part extending out from the side edge of the bottom part; a discontinuity is formed between the ridge line of the front side member and the ridge line of the rear side member, and the reinforcement is coupled with the front side member and the rear side member so that the ridge line formed between the bottom part and side part of the reinforcement compensates for the discontinuity of the ridge line of the side member.</p> |
