USE OF HDAC6 AS A DIAGNOSTIC MARKER AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT OF HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA

PURPOSE: A marker for diagnosis of HDAC6 liver cancer is provided to predict or diagnose live cancer at its early stage by confirming a reduction of HDAC6 gene at the cancer tissue or cells compared to other cells, and to use as a curing agent for liver cancer. CONSTITUTION: A marker for diagnosis of liver cancer comprises histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) gene, or HDAC6 protein coded from the HDAC6 gene. The HDAC6 gene has the base sequence of sequence number 1. A kit for diagnosis of liver cancer comprises a material which measures a level of the HDAC6 gene or HDAC6 protein. A method of screening a material for prevention or curing liver cancer comprises the steps of: contacting a sample to liver cancer cell comprising the HDAC6 gene or HDAC6 protein; and measuring an expression amount of the HDAC6 gene, an amount of the HDAC6 protein, or an activation of the HDAC6 protein. The sample is determined as a material for preventing or curing liver cancer in case any of the results from the measuring increases.
