A distributed control system for construction equipment and a method thereof are provided to release load applied to a main control device by processing commands for instrument control and for main control respectively with a main control device and a distributed control device. A distributed control system for construction equipment comprises a distributed control device(110), and a main control device(120). The distributed control device is installed to the construction equipment to receive control information packet transmitted by a wireless communication terminal(100). If the control commands in the control information packet are for instrument control, the distributed control device performs operation according to the control command. If not, the distributed control device transmits the received control information packet. The main control device receives the control information packet transmitted by the distributed control device and causes the construction equipment to perform the work according to the control commands in the control information packet. |
