摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial material which can inhibit formation of a biofilm when used as the filler of a bone and a tooth.SOLUTION: This antimicrobial material includes a calcium phosphate microsphere having a substance which is positively charged in water such as protamine adsorbed on a surface thereof and which is not released gradually, and has biofilm formation inhibitory activity. The implant material of a bone or a tooth is composed of this antimicrobial material. Since in the antimicrobial material, the substance which is positively charged in water such as the protamine is adsorbed on the surface of the calcium phosphate microsphere so as not to be released gradually, the substance is not depleted even when time elapses, and exhibits an antimicrobial effect continuously, biofilm formation caused by late-onset infection can be prevented.
