PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of correcting warpage of a print sheet generated by printing, without soiling the printing applied to the print sheet.SOLUTION: A printer 1 has: an operation memory unit 93 for storing and retaining a conveying operation of a print sheet 100 by a conveying mechanism 17 during printing in the print sheet 100, a moving operation of a carriage 21 by a carriage movement mechanism 26, and a driving operation of a print head 13; a coordinate acquisition unit 94 for acquiring a coordinate of a blank area 100c with no printing applied on the print sheet 100, based on these conveying operation, moving operation and driving operation; and a correction control unit 95 for moving a slide contact 21a of the carriage 21 while being in abutment with the blank area 100c, by driving the conveying mechanism 17 and the carriage movement mechanism 26, based on the coordinate of the blank area 100c. In a correction operation, the correction control unit 95 moves the slide contact 21a in the blank area 100c, and thereby the printing is never soiled. |
