<p>PURPOSE: An underwater robot based on flapping is provided to enable the simultaneous bending and twisting movement thereof by controlling the arrangement of a smart material and the direction of a directional material. CONSTITUTION: An underwater robot (100) based on flapping comprises a drive unit (120), a main body (110), and a control unit (130). The drive unit comprises a smart material and a directional material. The shape of the smart material is changed by an external signal. The directional material controls a change in a specific direction. The main body is connected to the drive unit. The control unit performs first and second strokes. The drive unit bends and/or twists the underwater robot by controlling the arrangement of the smart material and the direction of the directional material.</p> |
