An aqueous pigment dispersion liquid for inkjet, which contains a pigment and a pigment dispersant. The pigment dispersant is composed of a graft copolymer and/or a block copolymer, each of which contains a polymer chain (A) and a polymer chain (B). The polymer chain (A) contains 20-60% by mass of a constituent unit that is derived from a first cycloalkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate, 10-35% by mass of a constituent unit that is derived from a (meth)acrylic acid and 5-70% by mass of a constituent unit that is derived from another (meth)acrylate. The polymer chain (B) contains a constituent unit that is derived from a second cycloalkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate and/or a constituent unit that is derived from a (meth)acrylate or a vinyl monomer having an aromatic ring.
