PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device enabled to prevent fixing failure caused by non-uniform temperature distribution in a width direction of a fixing member, while reducing image formation time required for forming an image on a recording medium, when an image is formed on the recording medium of a width larger than a predetermined size after forming the image on a recording medium of a width equal or smaller than the predetermined size.SOLUTION: After a recording medium of a width equal to or smaller than a predetermined size passes through a nip part and before a recording medium of a width larger than the predetermined size passes through the nip part, a fixing member and a pressure member are rotated for thermal uniformity to achieve uniform temperature distribution on the surface of the fixing member across the width direction. As a condition for terminating the thermally-uniform rotation, any of different kinds of termination conditions is selected on the basis of image formation-related information on the image-forming to be executed after the thermally-uniform rotation. |
