Use of Functional Autoantibodies in Alzheimer Disease

Provided herein is a method for diagnosing Alzheimer's disease in a subject comprising detecting an increase in an amyloidogenic Abeta1-17 antibody in the subject as compared to a control. Further provided herein is a method for testing efficacy of an Alzheimer's disease treatment in a subject comprising detecting a decrease in an amyloidogenic Abeta1-17 antibody in the subject as compared to prior to the treatment.
