<p>Disclosed is a random number generating device etc. wherein, even if the range in which a series of generated random numbers can be selected is altered, of the values of random numbers included in the random number series after this alteration, the values of the random numbers contained in the range that can be taken by the random number series that was generated prior to this alteration maintain the order of these random numbers that were generated prior to this alteration; and this random number generating device selects a random number value included in this random number series prior to alteration. In this random number generating device, a random number generating function (12) can generate the same random number series based on the same information that was the source of the random numbers and can generate random numbers of a plurality of types whereof the ranges that may be taken by the generated random number series are mutually different. If the random numbers included in the range that may be taken by the random number series in question are in a relationship of being included in a range that may be taken by another random number series different from the aforementioned range, in the random number series generated by this random number generating function (12), the random numbers of the aforementioned random number series in question that are in a relationship of being included in a range that may be taken by the other random number series and the random numbers of this other random number series included in a range that may be taken by the random number series in question constitute the same values and appear in the same order.</p> |
