A paper holder for holding inserted paper with an appropriate force constantly by preventing the paper holding force from deteriorating due to shrinkage of a holding portion through storage or repetitive use. The paper holder comprises a holding piece (20) composed of an elastic material such as rubber and including a planar fixing portion (21), and a holding portion (23) formed integrally with the fixing portion at a connection top portion (23a) having a joint of elongated cross-section perpendicularly intersecting the inserting direction of paper. The paper holder holds paper between a case (11) and a holding end portion (24) located on the side opposite to the connection top portion with the recovery force of the holding portion (23) which rotates about the connection top portion as fulcrum. An elastic auxiliary member (30) is provided in order to add the recovery force by regulating movement of the holding portion (23). |
