PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed screw type optical pickup transport mechanism capable of preventing a problem of "teeth run-on" when an impact load is applied as well as ensuring uniform application of lubricant applied to contact portions between screw on the outer periphery of a drive shaft and teeth of a driven member while preventing splash thereof with a relatively simple structure.SOLUTION: The optical pickup transport mechanism transports an optical pickup via a base member connected to a driven member 50 in a state where a screw 42 formed on the outer periphery of the drive shaft 40 is engaged with teeth 56 and 57 on the driven member 50. The teeth 56 and 57 on the driven member 50 are configured including two main teeth 56 for driving the optical pickup and at least one sub tooth 57 free from the driving the optical pickup formed between the two main teeth 56. |
