PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion apparatus which can operate a control circuit stably even when the output voltage of an operating power source supplying the power necessary to operate the control circuit fluctuates.SOLUTION: A motor control device 1 comprises a power conversion circuit 10, a control circuit 11, an operating power source 12, a power conversion power source 13, and an auxiliary power source 14. The power conversion circuit 10 converts power and supplies it to a motor M. The control circuit 11 controls the power conversion circuit 10. The operating power source 12 supplies the voltage necessary to operate the control circuit 11. The power conversion power source 13 supplies the power needed for power conversion. The auxiliary power source 14 converts the output voltage of the power conversion power source 13 to a voltage sufficient to operate the control circuit 11 before supplying it thereto. This composition ensures that, even when the output voltage of the operating power source 12 fluctuates, for example, the voltage necessary to operate the control circuit 11 can be supplied from the auxiliary power source 14.
