PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal, which consumes less power, having a compact-size circuit.SOLUTION: There is provided a wireless communication method in which a base station and a plurality of terminals communicate using, as a channel, slots divided by time band in a plurality of carriers divided by frequency band. The base station informs a terminal of monitoring information which designates as monitoring coverage a channel containing at least one of a carrier or a slot. The terminal receives the monitoring information and controls, based on whether a signal applies to the monitoring coverage included in the received monitoring information, whether to receive the signal applying to the monitoring coverage or whether to stop receiving the signal. Then the terminal transmits, to the base station, an estimate result of the status of a transmission path based on the signal in the monitoring coverage. The base station, based on the estimated result, allocates a channel containing at least one of a carrier or a slot to transmit a packet and transmits a packet to the terminal using the allocated channel. |
