<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting infection of iridovirus, and to provide a therapeutic agent for the iridovirus. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes isolating a polypeptide which is isolated from a capsid protein of the grouper iridovirus, and has antigenic activity; preparing an antibody against the polypeptide; and detecting the iridovirus by an immunoassay method. Furthermore, a kit for detecting the iridovirus, and a pharmaceutical composition for treatment or prophylaxis of the infection of the iridovirus comprising the antigenic peptide and antibody are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
