The indicating device, intended to be resistant to falling over in the wind, comprises a base 10 and an upwardly-extending element 12 which includes a winding 28 that extends around at least a part of the upward extent and which is defined by an outwardly extending portion that occupies at least half of the height of the winding at at least one location. The winding is preferably spiral and occupies substantially the complete extent of the upwardly-extending element. The base may include a bayonet fitting on the base with which a weight may be selectively attached to the underside of the base. The device is preferably a road bollard with the upwardly extending element preferably converging from its lower to upper end region. Also claimed is an indicating device with a base with a downwardly facing surface to which a weight may be optionally attached. |
