A power grid which has a power inlet 9; power processing equipment 15a &b and grid cabling 14a and 14b, to which solar photovoltaic systems contained onboard a vehicle or moveable object can be connected so that power generated or stored by them can be readily transferred to the grid, processed and made available for use by a market or end user 13. A connection point 11 for a vehicle comprises a power inlet 9, power processing equipment 15a&b, and connection to the mains 13. A vehicle 6 fitted with a solar photovoltaic system having an outlet 4 may export power to the mains via the connection point 11. |
