A refrigeration cycle apparatus 100 includes low-pressure side pressure detecting means 11 for detecting the pressure of a refrigerant being sucked by a compressor 1, suction refrigerant temperature detecting means 21 for detecting the temperature of the refrigerant being sucked by the compressor 1, frequency detecting means 40 for detecting the operation frequency of the compressor 1, cooling target fluid inflow temperature detecting means 22 for detecting the temperature of a cooling target fluid flowing in an evaporator 4, cooling target fluid outflow temperature detecting means 23 for detecting the temperature of the cooling target fluid flowing out of the evaporator 4, and flow rate calculating means (measuring unit 31, computing unit 32, and storage unit 33) for calculating the absolute quantity of the flow rate of the cooling target fluid flowing in the evaporator 4 using a value detected by each detecting means.
