The laundry treatment unit (10) has a work space (12) and ventilation openings (42) for blowing process air into the work space. An auxiliary unit (60) is provided in the work space for generating airflow directed obliquely upward. The auxiliary unit has a fan obliquely arranged relative to vertical blowing direction, which sucks air from the work space and delivers into the airflow directed obliquely upward.
