<p>A laundry process which comprises the steps of: a)providing a coated detergent particle having perpendicular dimensions x, y and z, wherein x is from 1mm to less than 2 mm, y is from more than 2mm to 8mm and z is from more than 2mm to 8 mm, wherein the particle comprises: (i) from 50 to 90 wt% surfactant selected from anionic surfactant and/or non-ionic surfactant; (ii)from 1 to 40 wt% water-soluble inorganic salts; (iii) from 0 to 20 wt% other ingredients, including less than 15wt% water insoluble materials including fragrance, and, wherein the inorganic salts are present on the laundry detergent particle as a coating and the surfactant is present as a core; b)dissolving said coated detergent particle in water to form a wash liquor c)treating articles with said wash liquor, d)separating said articles from said wash liquor, and e)rinsing and drying said articles wherein at least step (c) is performed in a top-loading washing vessel.</p> |
