<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of reducing gas intrusion into a catalytic combustor, and its operation method. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1 is provided with a fuel cell stack 10 generating electric power by being fed with hydrogen and air, a compressor 31 for supplying air, the catalytic combustor 70 for burning hydrogen and air in terms of a catalyst, and warming up the fuel cell stack 10, exhaust gas piping (piping 65a, 65b and 34a) discharging exhausted gas from the catalytic combustor 70 to the outside, and a downstream valve 65 arranged at the exhaust gas piping and closed after the operation stop of the catalyst combustor 70. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
