<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sa steering lock device capable of reducing cost, capable of improving a degree of freedom on design, and capable of preventing the illegal unlocking operation of enabling the maneuvering of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 5 is provided with a storage part 51 for inserting a rod member 4 and a lid 52 installed so as to cover the storage part 51. A caulking projection 54 inserted into a fastening hole 56 of the lid 52 is integrally formed in the edge vicinity of the storage part 51 of the housing 5.
