<p>The device comprises an injection unit with a needle (30), which is movable in a feed device between a passive position away from a wick (11) and an active position, where the needle is inserted into the wick such that an impregnating agent (37) is injected into the wick through an opening. A tapered tip of opening of the needle has a bevel with the wick in a longitudinal direction. The feed device has clamping jaws for fixing the wick during insertion of the injection needle in the wick. A pigment such as a quick-drying ink is provided as the impregnation agent. Independent claims are included for: (1) a molding apparatus for manufacture of a self-extinguishing candle; and (2) a method for the impregnation of a candle wick.</p> |
