PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker diaphragm made of transparent glass and an electrodynamic speaker, wherein peaks and dips in sound pressure frequency characteristics are few and excellent reproduced sound quality is obtained. SOLUTION: In the speaker diaphragm using transparent glass as a base material, the glass is heat-resistant glass containing at least silica sand, borax, boric acid, alumina, and salt as materials and the speaker diaphragm comprises an approximately spherical shell-shaped transparent diaphragm part including a recessed surface and a projected surface arranged on the opposite side of the recessed surface. Preferably in the speaker diaphragm, the recessed surface or the projected surface of the transparent diaphragm part is regulated as a part of a spherical shell whose radius is about 30.0 to 150.0 mm, and the thickness of the transparent diaphragm part is almost uniformly formed in a range of 0.3 to 1.2 mm.
