PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite fabric which suppresses air permeability, ensures proper moisture permeability, and furthermore has softness, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The composite fabric is obtained by directly laminating a nanofiber nonwoven fabric formed of ultrafine fibers each having a diameter of a cross-section of not less than 50 nm and less than 1.5 μm in the longitudinal direction of the fiber on at least one side of a sheet shape substrate; and the method for producing the composite fabric includes a process for directly electric-field spinning on at least one side of the sheet-like substrate to laminate the nanofiber nonwoven fabric formed of the ultrafine fibers each having a diameter of a cross-section of not less than 50 nm and less than 1.5 μm in the longitudinal direction of the fiber to the sheet-like substrate.
