PURPOSE: Control method of an electronic device using a control device and device thereof are provided to control a cursor of a screen using motion information of a control device in an electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A transception unit (250) receives a signal from a control device. A display unit (210) performs screen display. A control unit (200) moves a cursor displayed on a screen according to cursor control information received from the control device. The control unit measures a distance between location of the cursor and peripheral object. If the measured distance is smaller than a critical distance, the control unit moves the cursor to a location corresponding to the peripheral object.
