Alight guide plate assembly for a backlight module is provided. The light guide plate assembly includes a plurality of light guide plates. Each light guide plate has a top face, at least one side face, and at least one connecting part. The connecting part is formed on the side face of the light guide plate. The connecting part has a connecting face, wherein the adjacent connecting faces are connected to each other. The top faces of the plurality of light guide plates are coplanar. A distance between the connecting face and the top face is 1/3 to 1/20 of the thickness of the light guide plate.
