PURPOSE: An on-line game reward providing method, device, and system are provided to enable newly registered users for a game to obtain an item, which can be used in other games, according to the play in the game, thereby enabling the users to concentrate on playing the game. CONSTITUTION: A game operation server provides a game play service to a user terminal (S10). The server detects whether a character, which is operated by the user terminal, satisfies a condition to receive a reward item according to the performance of play in a provided game (S20). If the reward item receiving condition is satisfied, the server selects at least one among a predetermined item, which can be used in other games related to the game, as a reward item and registers the selected reward item in a user-possessed item database corresponding to the user terminal (S30, S40).
