PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for saving light are provided to improve light communication efficiency by storing light with the desired number of bits in communication using light transceiving data according to the existence of light. CONSTITUTION: A third conductor faces a first conductor and is separated from the first conductor at a predetermined distance. A first resistive memory(122) recognizes the amount of charges in a low resistance state and varies resistance according to the recognized amount of charges. A second resistive memory(124) recognizes the amount of charges in a high resistance state and varies the resistance according to the recognized amount of charges. A laser diode is composed of first and second semiconductor layers arranged on both ends of an active region which amplifies or absorbs light. A photonic waveguide(126) transmits the light discharged from the laser diode by being connected to the active region. |
