PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharge method and a method for producing an organic EL element, or the like, allowing more reliable reduction of improper discharge of an ink droplet after pressing out ink from a discharge port by pressurizing the ink inside an inkjet head.SOLUTION: A droplet discharge method for discharging liquid material from a droplet discharge face of an inkjet head as droplets includes the process of wiping off the liquid material having adhered to the droplet discharge face by a wiping-off member after pressurizing the liquid material held inside the inkjet head to discharge it from the droplet discharge face. In the wiping-off member, a value obtained by dividing a value obtained by subtracting the weight before the wiping-off from weight after the wiping-off of the wiping-off member when using water as the liquid material by the weight before the wiping-off is 0.93 or above and 12.40 or below.
